“Your Kind Mind: Emotional Intelligence” Assembly

This year we are excited to announce a new assembly option for Kind Campus Schools! A Kind Campus Kick Off Assembly is the ideal way to set the stage for the practice of intentional kindness throughout the school year. A member of the Ben’s Bells Education team will lead a 30 minute, all-school assembly that is poignant and funny and filled with science! Our team features:

Jeannette Maré, Ben’s Bells’ founder

Matt Packard, Ben’s brother

Laura Gronewold, Director of Education

The 2016-2017 assembly focuses on how emotional awareness is foundational for the empathy that leads to kindness. This emotional intelligence allows us to draw upon the courage and careful thought required to practice intentional kindness and effect positive change in our schools, families, and communities. Audiences are not only left feeling inspired, they are equipped with the resources they need to incorporate the practice of intentional kindness on their campus at all levels and throughout the entre school year.

In 2015-2016, participation in Ben’s Bells Kind Campus soared to 390 schools in Arizona and across the country! That’s nearly 250,000 students, faculty, and staff who are practicing intentional kindness throughout their regular school day—every day of the year. This commitment to the practice of kindness is paying off:

“Preliminary evidence suggests that schools that implemented Kind Campus as part of their regular school day routine experienced increases in kind behaviors across the board.”

—University of Arizona Community Research, Evaluation and Development (CRED)

Ben’s Bells is committed to providing Kind Campus programming free to schools so that tight budgets are never a barrier to practicing kindness. In order to meet and sustain the ever-increasing demand for Kind Campus programming, however, Ben’s Bells will charge for enhancements to the programming (speaking engagements, murals, and extra materials). Schools will always be able to engage actively in Kind Campus for free and, if resources allow, may support Ben’s Bells through enhancements and fundraising.
