Moto Sonora Brewing Co.

Bar Serving: locally brewed beer

The idea for MotoSonora Brewing Company came during a 2010 overland trip through South Africa and Botswana when Tucson brothers Jeff and Jeremy DeConcini spent hours fireside in the bush debating the merits of the vehicles driven, the countries visited, and the preferred beers tasted along the way. Whether it was an IPA, an export stout, or a schwartzbier, it was indisputable that the beers were as integral to the overland experience as were the Land Rovers and motorcycles. Several years, thousands of beers, and many poor vehicular choices later, they were finally able to bring in Eric Thu and Tomme Arthur and create MotoSonora Brewing Company. J. Maré Annual Founder’s Award

After the death of her son Ben in 2002, Jeannette Maré learned how a small act of kindness could make such a difference in a person’s life, no matter their background. She created Ben’s Bells as a way to spread kindness in the community and teach others about the impact of intentional kindness. This award was established in 2022 during our 20th year of service to honor kind individuals in the community for making a difference through their outstanding kindness.

NOMINATIONS: We are seeking nominations of individuals in the Tucson area who embody kindness through their behavior, choices, and actions, and through their service to the community. These kind individuals understand that kindness is a powerful skill and ongoing practice that begins inwardly and extends to other individuals, groups, and entire communities. A Ben’s Bells Founder’s Award honoree will be someone who actively works for community equity and inclusiveness.

Nominate a kind individual today! Submissions due by Friday, April 7th.
