Founder’s Award
After the death of her son Ben in 2002, Jeannette Maré learned how a small act of kindness could make such a difference in a person’s life, no matter their background. She created Ben’s Bells as a way to spread kindness in the community and teach others about the impact of intentional kindness. This award was established in 2022 during our 20th year of service to honor kind individuals in the community for making a difference through their outstanding kindness.
NOMINATIONS: We are seeking nominations of individuals in the Tucson area who embody kindness through their behavior, choices, and actions, and through their service to the community. These kind individuals understand that kindness is a powerful skill and ongoing practice that begins inwardly and extends to other individuals, groups, and entire communities. A Ben’s Bells Founder’s Award honoree will be someone who actively works for community equity and inclusiveness.
Submissions due by Sunday, April 13th, 2025.
Live Auction
Our live auction held during Celebration of Kindness is the only chance during the year to take home a one-of-a-kind Ben’s Bells mosaic bench. Each bench is thoughtfully created by local artists/Ben’s Bells staff and takes many hours of careful work to finish. These totally unique works of art are a special way to bring kindness into your space.
