Helping to make the pieces for Ben’s Bells is a wonderful activity that's perfect for a variety of purposes: team building, character education, grief response, rehabilitation, personal enrichment, entertainment and more! You can work with the clay to create beads that will one day adorn a Ben's Bell, or decorate beads already sculpted by others. Come volunteer at our Main Gate Open Studio Hours, have a group experience or host a party at Ben's Bells Downtown or pick up a Kind Ed To Go Kit and host a Ben’s Bells activity on your own!
What is a Ben's Bell?
Ben’s Bells are beautiful, ceramic wind chimes, handmade by the community. By the time one Ben’s Bell is complete, at least 10 people have been involved in its creation. Ben’s Bells are hung randomly throughout the community, in public spaces, for people to find and take home as a reminder to practice intentional kindness.
The mission of Ben’s Bells is to inspire, educate, and motivate each other to realize the impact of intentional kindness and to empower individuals to act according to that awareness, thereby strengthening ourselves, our relationships and our communities.
Ben’s Bell beads are created in a variety of different shapes and colors, reflecting the diverse community involved in their creation.
The Centerpiece, in the shape of the Ben’s Bells flower, is painted a bright solid color and stamped with a ‘bb’ to represent Ben’s Bells. The single color provides balance and features the uniquely painted beads.
